We didn't plan on going out to the house till the walk through which has been moved a little further out to Tuesday the 6th we thought this was going to be the day we closed but there are some things that have to be adjusted since the lots were widened from 40' to 50'. We got a call from man supervising the building to check with us on the placement of the fence - it's going in tomorrow! We asked him if we could come by the house and he said yes, just to be careful because they had poured concrete. So much has changed since we went out there on Monday, I can hardly contain my excitement!

| September 1, 2011: She is painted! |
| Wet concrete. I REALLY wanted to write our names in it :) We also have a garage door! There is paper covering the windows but there will be 4 widows on the garage and there will be decorative shutters around the windows too. |
| The side garage door. There is a weird gap at the top of the door that is driving Jeff nuts, I'm sure they will fix it before the walk through but if not we at least know it's there so we can ask them to fix it. |
| We have a front porch! It's small but I love it already :) we also have a doorbell, outdoor lighting, and the outlet so we can hang Christmas lights! |
| This is a picture of a man who was working in the house cutting stone for the fireplace. |
| The back of the house. The guy who was cutting store was stepping out of the window onto the bucket to use his tool that was sitting to the left. The slab of concrete for our back patio is freshly poured :) |
| I LOVE our kitchen! There is shelving in the pantry, the microwave is in, the dishwasher is in, the countertops are laid, the sink is in, and the stove was sitting in the living room area. |
| Half bath downstairs. There is a towel ring and a toilet! |
| The den is carpeted! |
| Our sink :) |
| The stove will go right under the microwave. |
| Backsplash is in too. To the left of the pantry is more cabinetry and a spot for our refrigerator. |
In all the excitement I was paralyzed and didn't take nearly enough pictures of things that were completed. Jeff stayed outside but there was no way I wasn't going to go in! The iron railing going upstairs is in, there were men installing the rock on the fireplace, the floors and carpet were all completely done, lighting fixtures are in, and I'm sure there is more complete but I was just so overwhelmed, it really felt like a home! I wanted to go upstairs too but I didn't want to disrupt the people working up there. I can't wait to see upstairs, the carpet is in and our master bathroom should be done too.
After we looked at the progress we went furniture shopping and picked out this, it will be so nice to have a bedroom set!
Next on our list is trying to figure out paint colors and deciding on a washer and dryer - there are SO many to choose from.
