August 24, 2011: Doors are in!

Doors laying around.

Pantry is the opening on the right.  Half bath is the opening on the left.

View from the den window

Den again, they put a decorative molding in around the bottom of the window.

Molding going up the stairs!

The entrance to the guest bathroom.

This will be my girl room!

Tracks in for the closet doors

Jeff's man room!

Master bedroom!  The molding is in around the coffered ceiling.

Master again.

The night we took these pictures we met some more of our future neighbors, we were outside talking for close to an hour.  They are so nice, the woman that lives next door is retired and is keeping a watchful eye on our place making sure no creepers are getting in!

August 29, 2011: It's coming together!
We drove out to the house around 6pm to check on the progress since we hadn't been for more than 5 days!  We pulled up and heard people still working and saw an SUV parked in front so we decided to make a trip to Lowe's.  We got back to the community around 6:50 pm and heard workers still there, we waited till about 7:20 and I decided I needed some pie :) We came back right before dark and found that the painters had also come out to prep the house to be painted!

Plastic covering the windows!  They also poured concrete in the garage so we now have a real garage floor :)
Since the windows were all covered up by the time we actually got to go in the house we had to use the light from out phones to see so the pictures are so bad!

Kitchen cabinets!

The refrigerator will go in the big empty spot.

Some of our flooring is put in.  The mantle is about the fire place :)

Half bath cabinets in, tile laid, and vinyl is in!

Guest bath!

Laundry room.

Master bath - so excited!  Apparently someone forgot their drink...

Master shower

Master Tub

View into the living area from the stairs

appliances!

More kitchen

The Den full of supplies :)
We are counting down the days to be out of our apartment, it goes in waves where is is tolerable and then unbearable.  Right now we are in the unbearable phase...at least the end is in sight!
We are suppose to do a walk-through on Friday so that will be the next time that we got to see more progress, we can't wait!
