One thing I was nervous about going back and forth between ID and OR was that something would happen to my car - I guess I jinxed myself!
I was about 2 hours from Portland when I kept hearing a "THUD, THUD, THUD!" I was freaking out because I thought it was a flat tire - I pulled off and looked at all of my tires and they were fine, so I got back in and drove off. Then when I picked up some speed, "THUD, THUD, THUD!" UGH! I finally pulled over again and found the seal between the top of my windshield and car came up and was beating on the roof of my car. Thank you to my Mom who got me an emergency road kit like 4 years ago - the red electrical tape worked great...for a bit :) OR State Troopers pulled off too to help me, one guy taped it up for me.

Finally home - the seal came up again - you can see it laying on the roof
To get it fixed we'll just have to have the entire windshield replaced - I got a small rock chip when we were moving here so It'll have to be done eventually, let's just say it would have been cheeper to fly home...
I had a few things I had to get at Target the other night and saw these bookends, aren't they perfect for Jeff?! All we need is a bookshelf.

Sorry about your windshield! Both of our cars have windshield issues right now! IT stinks! Love the bookends!
Ha ha- that was funny- not the car problems, but that I thought the bookends were dolphins at first! I was like, "What? Perfect for Jeff?" SO did you get them? Sorry about the car- man, they can just be pain in the butts can't they!?
I tried to comment on this yesterday on my computer at home but it would not let me! Grrrrrr.
Anyway, Gladyou made it home OK with just a minor mishap. Glad it wasn't worse. I like the bookends and YES, they are perfect for Jeff! Good choice.
