This weekend was Jeff's first weekend off and our second weekend in Oregon - the first was spent unpacking! There are so many places we want to visit so it was hard to pick where to go first, we ultimately decided to drive north to see Mt. St. Helens. Jeff can see Mt. St. Helens from the tower along with Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Jefferson - it's a good view, I keep waiting for him to take a picture while he's up there or for him to take me up ;)

Hiking and hoping for ice cream later :)
Mt. St. Helens - blew up May 18, 1980 to help Traci celebrate her birthday
Bridge heading to see the mountain
They re-seeded parts of the park but some were left to regenerate on their own - you can still see where trees were knocked down and nothing has yet to really grow back there.
Please don't explode on me!
Area left to regenerate on its own.
Mt. St. Helens in all her glory
Jeff representing in a rough area :)
ALSO, while we were checking out one of the gift shops near the mountain we were visiting with a woman who worked there chatting about fun things to do in the area and she said, "Did you visit the high school used in the Twilight movie? It's in Kalama." Ironically enough we had stopped in that town on our way to Mt. St. Helens. So on our way back we found the high school and took some pictures! Pulling into the area where we parked there was a thing that was holding these orange papers so I checked it out and there was a map of spots shown in the movie. Jeff called his mom and tried to convince her that he was standing next to Edward lol!
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
The parking lot where the "crash scene" took place - my red rocket is a good car actress :)
The Kalama High School/Twilight flyer, it has a list of the places you can visit on the grounds and a map on the back for where to find them.
running into the "walking into the woods" scene
view of the high school from the "crash scene"
"walkway" scene
Not sure what this building was...
Vampire attack outside of "Forks"/Kalama High School! I'm actually pretty sure no vampires would be out on a day like this - too much sun lol
"mural"
This is Kalama High School Gymnasium but in the movie it was used for the "hospital scene"
Walking down the same walkway Edward used
View of the high school from 4th & Elm Street
It was funny exploring the high school wondering what the people in the town think of all the Twilight fans migrating there! I went out and bought Twilight so we could watch it tonight to try and find all the spots we were at. So if you anyone comes to visit you can see this too!!!
So romantic :)

I want to come. If you go to the Forks City website they have all the places in Forks where Bella works, goes to school, Bella Italia, where the Cullens live, and first beach mapped out for you. For their City Home page. They are very proud. You can go and order Vampire specials that come with vampire teeth. That weird building looks like their classroom windows.
Ha ha. That is hilarious. And even though I would say I am a fanatic- I would totally want to go check things out, and then see the movie :0) I have seen it once, but I don't remember any of that. Glad you had a nice day- it was so sweet of Mt. Saint Helens to blow on Traci's birthday :0)
I meant to say that I am NOT a fantatic. I read the books, but have only seen one movie. And I didn't even see it for months after its release. I do not own any t-shirts, posters, dolls, etc. :0)
That looks like a good day trip out. Have fun exploring!!! Cool!!!
Well, I am a Fanatic (thanks to Heather who is NOT a fanatic) and I am totally jealous! I would love to check out the sites and walk where Edward walked ....lol I love the bite me picture!
