Whatever the Weather

We have had some seriously WEIRD weather since we've been here in Oklahoma.  The first weekend we were here - 60's, we went to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial.  Christmas - worst snow storm they have had in like 30 years, we were going to drive to Enid to spend Christmas with my Uncle Doug and cousins but they closed ALL of the highways!  There were people who were stuck on highways that ended up dying in their cars because they couldn't get out.  Today 64 degrees!  It is beautiful :)  Tomorrow...is an entirely different story - Freezing rain, snow, ice causing possible power outages!  We went to the grocery store to buy some things just in case we do end up losing power but we have been trying to buy less since we're leaving in about a week.  Jeff still has to work tomorrow and friday, they'll hopefully tell him before he has to leave for work tomorrow if they are going to cancel training.  On Christmas Eve he had to go in for a 1/2 day, they said they would cancel training if the weather was bad in the morning when he went in - which at 6 am, it wasn't - the weather got bad after they had been there for 2 hours so he had to drive himself and 3 of his classmates home while people where wrecking cars all around him.  Scary stuff.

Today: Jeff's truck basking in the sun, kinda :)

Christmas Eve: SNOW!  When it melted it just turned into ice, it stuck around for about 2 1/2 weeks.

I'm enjoying the nice weather right now while I can.  I've taken Ali on a walk and I've got the screen door open to read and relax :)

So glad your are blogging again! You guys have had an exciting first two years of marriage. Not that many people get to travel around as much as you guys do. Thanks for the book reviews. You and Heather have given me some good ones to read.

Ill say that is some freaky weather! Yikes. Enjoy the good weather when you can- and snuggle up when it sucks!
