First Day Home

It's the strangest feeling, taking your 3 day old baby home.  No nurses, and in our case, family, to watch us and to be there to answer any questions we had about this new little person!  It also made it really special being home just the 3 of us.  We had friends come over not long after we got home to load us up with food.  Jeff really enjoyed that, we ate so good for at least a week straight :)

This pictures is obviously still at the hospital but is SO cute :)  I love how he is all curled up.  Nursing was definitely a learning experience and frustrating at first.  I found the easiest and most comfortable way to nurse Maddox was laying on my side.  I wish I had brought a nursing pillow to the hospital, that would have helped a TON!

This picture is blurry but has a good story behind it.  Jeff was laying in bed holding Maddox and eating some of the breakfast they had brought me in the morning.  He had bacon in his hand and kept acting like he was feeding it to Maddox so I grabbed my phone to get a picture because it was just so funny to think of him "trying" to feed Maddox bacon, as I was taking the picture we had a knock on the door and in walked the pediatrician to check on Maddox lol.  I doubt she would have approved bacon for Maddox!

He is ready to go home!  He did great on the drive home,  Jeff was nervous driving home :)

A family of 3!

We had to lay in the guest bed when we first got home because my water broke on our sheets, whoops :)

Love his little leg hanging down, he is going to be tall like his daddy!
You can see on his left arm where his IV was.
Snoozing with a belly full of milk.

The nursing pillow is helpful to everyone!

Putting my breast feeding cover to good use!  We had company over so I tried it out

Testing out the bassinet

Jeff was really good about changing diapers :)
