Beach Week

My mom and sister came to visit 2 weeks ago tomorrow and I'm just now getting around to documenting our fun :)  It's been a busy couple of months!

Erica and my mom flew in early on a saturday and left early on a tuesday - Jeff unfortunately had to work the whole time so it was a girls weekend!  whoo-hoo ;) 

1st stop after picking them up was breakfast at McMenamins Edgefield - they have a HUGE piece of land that the property is on with gardens and fun little relaxing areas to sit and take pictures :)

2nd stop - Multnomah Falls
We were SO tired after our first day!  It reminded me of my mom's visit last year to see us in VA - the day we spent in DC was exhausting but we saw a lot and it was a blast!

Day 2 was our trip to get to the coast - 1st stop Astoria!  Of course we went and hiked to the top of the column then ate at the Bowpicker, recommended by LaVerne - it was AWESOME!

2 Goonies

Poking at dead things.  I should have bought the shirt at one of the shops that said "I walked on the beach and poked at dead things - Oregon Coast" ha ha

A couple of days after my mom and sister left Jeff and I made a trek back to the coast for our 1 day off together - It was romantic :) this was the morning we left to go back home.

I hope everyones summer is going great!  Besides my mom visiting we've had visits from some friends from Boise and we're going to see Ben, Becca, and the boys this weekend!  It's finally heating up over here on the coast - we've experienced 3 days so far of 90+ heat - we have no air-conditioner :(  but I hear this weekend is suppose to be a little bit more mild which is great because we have a day off together that I hope we get to spend outside!
